Savannah Native Named Miss SSU

Jordan Riles, 2010-2011 Miss SSU Jordan Riles, 2010-2011 Miss SSU On Friday April 9, 2010, Ms. Jordan Riles was named the next Miss Savannah State University for the year 2010-2011.

Riles is well-known in the community, most recently as the 2008 Ebony Fashion Fair scholarship recipient.. She is also a representative for her class, the 2009-10 academic year, and Miss Sophomore 2008-2009 of Savannah State University.

Riles is the daughter of James and Chequeta Riles; youngest grand-daughter of Annie Nails of Savannah, GA and Louise Riles of Thomasville, GA and will be the first Miss Savannah State University hailing from the Savannah area since 2002.

She states that her previous endeavors in such leadership roles have made her well equipped for the servitude of representing the student body and she plans to form an effective relationship among the community and the college campus in order to recruit students and make the current students' collegiate experience an enjoyable one.

The coronation of Ms. Riles will take place during the Homecoming festivities on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Savannah State University's Tiger Arena. Look for more details as the time approaches
