Save The Date: An Evening at the Museum-May 21

The Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum presents “An Evening at the Museum”, a fund raiser for the museum in its Annex on Alice Street and Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd.

This event will include: evening museum tours from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM; musical entertainment by Ben Tucker & Friends with special performances by the SCAD Honeybees; a silent auction from 7:11 PM – 9:01 PM; and a live auction hosted by WTOC’s Sonny Dixon beginning at 9:07 PM.

The event will feature Catering Creations by LaVon, complementary wine and a cash bar for other alcohol purchases. You must be 21 to attend this is a Black-tie event. Honorary Chairs include Savannah Mayor Otis Johnson; Chatham County Chairman Pete Liakakis; South University President Todd Cellini; Savannah State University President Earl Yarbrough; St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital CEO/President Paul Hinchey; and Pure Spectrum President/CEO Lee Vanatta. Several area businesses have donated items for the silent auction and some items from regional businesses as well. Many of the Honorary Chairs will have special “Surprise Live Auction Packages” announced at the event.
