US Attorney Ed Tarver poses with DeRenne Middle School students U.S. Attorney Ed Tarver presented information about the law and legal professions to 7th & 8th grade students this morning at DeRenne Middle School .

U.S. Attorney Tarver was appointed by President Barack Obama and serves the Southern District of Georgia.

He is the first African American to hold this position.

Students were selected for this presentation based on their interest in entering the field of law as a career.
