One Sound The Coastal Jazz Association of Savannah presents Jazz - Just Across the River featuring One Sound on Sunday, March 14th 5:30 p.m. at the Westin Resort on Hutchinson Island.

One Sound was formed in 2008 by musicians and long time friends Thomas Stokes III (bass), RaSheed Akbar (Saxophone), Jermaine Baker (drums), Anthony Jones (keys), and James Smith (lead guitar). One Sound is a blend of diverse musical genres that includes contemporary jazz, classic R&B, funk, gospel, and progressive “sweet” soul music.

Individually, the members of One Sound have performed for several years with many diverse artists, including: local trombone legend Teddy Adams, Mary Davis, Timothy Wright and Gerald Thompson -performances in such places as Georgia, New Orleans, West Africa and even Egypt.

The event is free for Coastal Jazz Association members and $10 for non-members.
