On Wednesday, February 24, Greenbriar Children’s Center held its Annual Board of Directors Meeting and Awards Luncheon at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

Dr. Clemontine Washington, 2009 Board President presided over the meeting.

The luncheon also celebrated the 60th Anniversary of Greenbriar, and also recognized emeritus board members Arnold Jackson, and Virginia Parham. Executive Director Gena Taylor presented the awards.

Recipients included: 2009 Volunteer of the Year Individual: Christina Temple, Group: Jonesville Baptist Church of the P.A.W.; 2009 Donor of the Year: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; 2009 Media Partner of the Year: The Savannah Tribune; 2009 Community Partner of the Year: The Savannah Harbor Foundation.

Greenbriar’s theme for 2010 is “Building Bridges of Hope and Love”.
