Savannah Board of Realtors Holds Awards Luncheon

The Savannah Board of REALTORS® (SABOR) honored leading REALTORS® for their service in 2009 at their Annual Awards Luncheon held on Friday, February 19th at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront.
Both the SABOR President and the Savannah Multi-List Corporation (SMLC) President presented their President's Award to the individual that helped them throughout the year to carry out their goals and objectives. The SABOR Presidents Award, Molly Bridges, President, was presented to Sandy McCloud. Sharon Miller, SMLC President, presented her award to Patty Carswell.
The Affiliate of the Year Award, for active participation, attendance at meetings, good business conduct, high principles and faithfulness to laws and regulations that govern their respective profession, went to Kevin Allen, American Moving and Storage.
The REALTOR® of the Year was judged on REALTOR ® Spirit, Civic Activity, Business Accomplishments, and local, state and national association activity. This award was presented by the 2008 recipient Tim Adams to Joe Drescher.
Bonnie Gaster
The Charles F. Fulton Award, named in honor of SABOR's first President, recognizes a member who has been active for at least ten (10) years, a past SABOR REALTOR ® of the Year, and has exhibited continued leadership, service, and support of SABOR. This prestigious award was presented to Tim Adams, who has been an active REALTOR® for 34 years. The Philip M. Heidt Award, in memory of REALTOR® Heidt, is in recognition of outstanding professional and personal achievement by a fulltime Broker, Owner or Manager. The recipient of this distinction went to Susan Kornegay.
The Konter Hall of Fame Award, in memory of Lawrence J. Konter and in honor of Harriet K. Konter, was presented to Robert E. Bennett and Bonnie B. Gaster. This honor is given to members who have excelled, through a minimum of twenty (20) years of service to the local, state and national associations, to the real estate industry, the community, and the public. Candidates were evaluated in the areas of longevity, productivity, association service, and overall image within the industry and general public.
