Chatham County Deacons & Deaconess Donate to Area Organizations

Members of the Deacons and Deaconesses Union The Chatham County Deacons and Deaconess Union, an organization of Christian men and women from various local churches has answered the call of area needs.

The Deacons &

Deaconess made a $1,000.00

donation to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund to help meet the needs of recent earthquake victims.

They also made a generous $1,000.00 donation to the Savannah State University Scholarship Fund.

These funds were donated on behalf of the National Baptist Deacons Convention of America, Inc., whose mission includes providing youth with assistance in obtaining secondary education.
