Savannah's 100 Celebrity Men Cookoff A Huge Success

Winners of the 100 Celebrity Men Who Cook Event Winners of the 100 Celebrity Men Who Cook Event The Tenth Annual Savannah's 100 Celebrity Men Who Cook event was a great success. A huge crowed filed into the Savannah Marriott Riverfront on Sunday, December 13, 2009, where cooks from throughout the area showed off their prize dishes. Proceeds from the event will help many local students and others get a college education. Celebrity chefs “stepped up to the plate” again this year for an afternoon of tasting treat.

Winners of the Cookoff in the various categories are: Desserts: 1st Place - Tie - Moses Calhoun and the Chatham Steel Team (Bert Tenenbaum, Bob Spell, and Mike Young); 2nd Place- Steve Bellmott; 3rd Place- Floyd Adams;Casseroles: 1st Place- Ronnie Frazier; 2nd Place-Dr. Joe Buck; 3rd Place - Cleve Culton. Seafood: 1st Place-Robert Smalls; 2nd Place- Thomas Owens; 3rd Place - Dr. Mark Manocha;Soups/ Stews/ Chili: 1st Place- Robbie Wells; 2nd Place- Reverend Ricky Bready; 3rd Place - James Davis; Meats: 1st Place- Carl Davis; 2nd Place- Bobby Lockett; 3rd Place- Marcus Lotson; Salads: 1st Place - Roy Elijah; 2nd Place - Eugene Walker Vegetables: 1st Place - Willie Lovett; 2nd Place - Carl Murray
