Bethlehem to hold Deaconess Consecration

2009-11-11 / Church

The Pastor, Officers and members of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church extend a cordial invitation to the entire community to share in the Consecration Service for our prospective Deaconesses.

These six women were chosen for this Servant Ministry and after much training, prayer and preparation they will be set apart during the worship service.

They accepted this important call to service and commitment and have agreed to use their spiritual gifts to be “succourers of many”.

The service takes place at the church on November 22, 2009 at 4p.m. and the Consecration Message will be delivered by Sis. Florrie B. Scriven, President of the Women's Auxiliary of the Berean Missionary Baptist Association.

Sister Scriven is an ardent member of First Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Guy Malcolm Hodge is Pastor.

The Deaconess candidates are (L to R): Sis. Felicia Hagan, Sis. Dorothy J. Payne Hill, Sis. Janice Davis, Sis. Ruby Mungin Rawlison, Sis. Catherine Mobley, and Sis. Naomi Thomas. Please come out and share with us on this momentous occasion.

For additional information, you may contact the Church Office at (912) 233- 9040.

Wilson Scott, Jr., D.Min., Pastor
