Savannah State University President Earl G. Yarbrough Sr. will host the 14th Annual Bill Davis Memorial Golf Tournament on October 30 as part of the university's annual Homecoming celebration.

The Tournament will be held at the Al Henderson Golf Club, 1 Al Henderson Drive, Savannah, GA 31419 ).

Proceeds will be used to establish and annually support the Athletics Scholarship Endowment to support student athletes.

The cost is $125 per player; sponsorship opportunities range from $250- $ 1 , 5 0 0 .

Registration Deadline is October 15, 2009.

The golf tournament was launched in 1996 by the Savannah State University Foundation and renamed in honor of William R. "Bill" Davis, the most successful head football coach at Savannah State, who passed in 2001.
