W. Anthony Jones, I W. Anthony Jones, I "Season Of Preparation"

Before you can experience the season of blessings, you must first deal with the season of preparation.

Whatever God has for you to do He will prepare you for it just as He did those before you. Moses spent forty years in the house of Pharaoh learning the wisdom of the Egyptians (Acts 7:22), and then he spent his next forty years learning the lessons on leadership (Exodus 3: I). The last forty years of Moses life, he spent leading God's people. Jesus spent thirty years preparing for three and a half years of ministry.

The work of God is not to be entering into likely or unadvisedly. Before due season comes, there is a season that is call preparation. The season of preparation is Learning. Learning is necessan for our Christian development.

In these days it seems like the average minister is not willing to invest any time in preparing for the work of God. We all need someone who is more experience then we are to tutor us in the work of God (Galatians 4:1-2). After Saul's (Paul) conversion on the Damascus road he spent three years in school learning ministry, then he journeyed to Jerusalem, and spent fifteen days with Peter (Galatians 1:17, 18). Next comes waiting. Waiting reveals patience, and patience is always rewarded with favorable results.

In Nehemiah 1:11, Nehemiah prayed for one hundred and twenty days to God about the burden he had to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. His pray was not only for favor but also direction. Nehemiah patiently waited until God opened the door. Have you patiently waited for God to open the door? This last one is critical. Timing- you got to know when God is telling you to move. Let me say that again, you got to know when God is tell you to move.

I have been privileged to have Pastored two churches, and now the co-founder of Christ Church International. I was led to open my heart to a co-workeR of mine at the time about a desire I had to start a ministry. He listened and immediately he opened his church doors to us to start this ministry.

For this we will forever be grateful to Pastor Lee Terry Miller. Whenever you set out to do the work of God, make sure you have the endurance to see it to the end. And that's the simple gospel.
