On Saturday, September 26, the King-Tisdell Cottage Foundation, Inc. held its 12th Annual Awards Banquet at the Hyatt Regency Savannah. The event’s objective is to honor and pay homage to those who have made significant contributions in the areas of historic preservation, the arts, education, and public service. Preservation of African American history is also honored, and that award is named for the late W.W. Law.

The Savannah Tribune, and the W.W. Law Legacy Award was presented to William B. Jackson, civil rights activist, and retired educator.
