Bishop Violet Fisher Asbury United Methodist Church, 1201 Abercorn St., will celebrate its 139th Anniversary on October 15-18.

The theme for this year will be “Hold on to God’s Vision: Where There is No Vision the People Perish”.

The anniversary celebration will feature Bishop Violet L. Fisher, 2008 Emancipation Proclamation speaker. Bishop Fisher returns to bless the city of Savannah. On October 15- 16, there will be a Revival. Community Wide Prayer Breakfast hosted by the Interdenominal Ministerial Alliance, Emancipation Ministers and Baptist Union will be held October 17, 8:00 am at the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 622 E. 37th St, Rev. James Nelson, Pastor. The Culmination Services, Asbury Day Celebration Worship Service will be held on Sunday, October 18 at 11am. We invite you to join us as this dynamic woman of God lifts up the name of our Lord and Savior.
