Armstrong’s Dixon Awarded Scholarship

Tito Dixon Tito Dixon The Garden Club Council of Chatham County has awarded a scholarship to Tito Dixon, a sophomore majoring in theatre at Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) and a resident of Washington County, GA.

During the last academic year, Dixon had parts in Copenhagen, Crazy For You, The Full Monty, Drama- Rama and Raisin in The Sun.

The Garden Club Council of Chatham County is a collection of garden clubs whose association goes back for more than half a century. Each year, the council awards scholarships for students pursuing a course of study in subjects relating to botany, horticulture, landscaping, or fine arts at AASU. This scholarship was first awarded in 2003.

Armstrong Atlantic State University, part of the University System of Georgia, was founded in 1935.

The university offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate academic programs in the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Science and Technology, the College of Education, and the College of Health Professions.
