Through RSVP seniors 55 and older serve in various community organizations from 1 to 40 hours per week. Alzheimer’s

Association Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Group meets October 5 from 10:30- 12 noon at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church, 54 Diamond Causeway, Savannah. Proposed topic: “Dealing with Loss in Dementia” Lisa Paulson of Hospice Savannah will share ideas using music therapy and other techniques to assist people with moderate to late stage Alzheimer’s. Families affected by this long term neurological disease causing memory loss are encouraged to attend. For directions, call the church at 598-8460. 1970 The Alfred Ely Beach Class of 1970 will meet on Saturday, September 26 at Carnegie Library on Henry Street. The time is 2:30 in the meeting room. Memory Walk

The Alzheimer's Association's Annual Memory Walk will take place on Saturday, September 26 at Johnson Square in Savannah from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

People across Coastal Georgia are invited to participate in this year's event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research programs. This inspiring event calls on volunteers of all ages to become Champions in the fight against Alzheimer's.

The First Steps Parents of Newborns program pairs volunteers with new families in the hospital setting to provide emotional support, parenting education materials, and referrals to community resources.
