Monica Singletary is currently a Nail Care Specialist at the new "See Jane" located at 323 West Broughton Street.

“Ms. Monica” as she's affectionately known in the industry, attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania where she spent her formative years in the New York City metropolitan area.

She never had any interest in skin or nails as a young woman, but when Monica moved to Manhattan and met Skyy Hadley, a professional skin and nail technician who became her mentor, this passion eventually changed.

“Design was my passion,” she said with excitement, “but I later learned there was so much more!” Monica was still able to create in an artistic way and still feel fulfilled. This training from Hadley has resulted in huge successes for Singletary.

As the two women worked together and Monica's skills were perfected, Skyy began to send her out on calls to her clientele.

Monica Singletary, Nail Care Specialist Monica quickly realized that Hadley's clientele were of celebrity status. Monica found herself servicing clients including Puffy, Judge Hatchett, famous publicists, magazine editors and photographers... just to name a few.

But what's most apparent is that everyone's “a celebrity” when they sit down for a nail care service with Monica, she truly delivers the “red carpet treatment” to each and every person.

In 2007 Monica moved to Savannah where she met Shelley Smith, Owner of See Jane.

She and Shelley would like to invite the community out each Thursday for Beauty Bar Happy Hour and enjoy their services from 5pm to 9pm in a relaxed environment.
