Woodville-Tompkins Holds Homecoming Celebration

Former teachers Mrs. Dorothy Wison, and Mrs. Dorothy Speed Former teachers Mrs. Dorothy Wison, and Mrs. Dorothy Speed The 2009 Woodville- Tompkins Homecoming was held on the campus of Woodville-Tompkins Technical and Career Center this past Saturday, September 5, 2009. It was a phenomenal success!

More than 1500 people were on the campus to celebrate, reunite, and recapture that true Wolverine spirit!!

The purpose of the Woodville-Tompkins Homecoming is to establish a scholarship fund for students who will graduate in 2012 when Woodville-Tompkins becomes a high school.

Attendees included classes from 1945 through 1989 - graduates of Woodville and Tompkins High Schools, former teachers, the young, and the young-at-heart!

There was food galore, music from every generation, fun for the children, and a sea of blue and white t-shirts!!

The 2009 Woodville- Tompkins Homecoming Committee thanks Mr. Derrick Muhammad, the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools Campus Police, the Black Nurses Association, the Savannah Fire and Emergency Services, The Community Cardiovascular Council, all news media, and everyone who helped to make this homecoming an overwhelming success!
