Living Hope to Present its Summer Block Party

Corie Johnson Corie Johnson Pastor Joyce C. Hall and Living Hope Community Fellowship would like to invite you to be a part of their Summer Block Party on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at 7:00pm. The participants for the event will be RJ and The UpBeats and Comedian Corie Johnson.

RJ is the musical genius in the Land of Wilinkin that works at a local music store. The music store is situated close to a playground where a lot of UpBeats like to hang out. RJ teaches UpBeats his knowledge of music and shares important life lessons and moral principles, so each of them can have a fun upbeat life.

Corie Johnson is a Gospel Comedian, Actor, and Writer from Columbia, South Carolina. While attending Morris College, he discovered his gift as a Stand up comedian. In 2003, he began his comedic career at the Comedy House in Columbia, South Carolina. He continued to perform at the Comedy House on “Open Mic Night” over the next year and a half. In 2005, He entered a Christian comedy competition presented and hosted by Christian Comedian Akintunde and No Joke Entertainment. Under the leadership of Akintunde, Corie gained experience in learning how to conduct all the other aspects of comedy. Corie has performed on the Family Expo Stage at T.D. Jakes “Mega fest”. Also in 2005, Corie was blessed with the opportunity to perform at Pastor Jamal Bryant's church Deliverance Temple in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2006, he also co-produced Akintunde's stand up comedy DVD, “Brutally Honest”. He is one of only a few comedians that will be featured on BET's new show “Gospel Comic View,” hosted by Vickie Winans.
