The City of Savannah’s Cultural Arts Theatre announced that it will be presenting its summer "big stage" production of The Wiz at the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, July 17, 18, 24 and 25.

This new musical version of the classic 'Wizard of Oz' by L. Frank Baum, features a script by William F. Brown and music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls.

Full of exciting new musical arrangements by musical director Gary Swindell and stunning choreography by Muriel Miller of Abeni Cultural Arts, this is The Wiz as you have never seen it!

Performances will be held July 17 and 24 at 8 p.m.; July 18 and 25 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, 32 Abercorn Street. Tickets are $17 general admission; $12 seniors and students. Tickets are available by contacting the Lucas Theatre for the Arts at (912) 525-5050.
