Butler holds Bridging Ceremony

Kelton King On Friday, June 12, Butler Elementary School held its annual Bridging Ceremony, a celebration of the transition of students from elementary to middle school. Among the highlights of the ceremony was an enriching and engaging speech delivered by Juanita Adams, a retired Savannah State University instructor. Butler’s Chorus gave an entertaining rendition of “You Gotta Be”.

Special awards were presented to Kelton King and Chelsea Phelps. Kelton received the Academic Excellence Award, presented by Mrs. Emma Preer, and Chelsea received the Outstanding Citizenship Award presented by Albertha Collier.

All students received Certificates of Participation in recognition of their success and hard work.
