Jr. Debutantes take part in the Career Fair sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Jr. Debutantes take part in the Career Fair sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. On April 11, 2009, Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Sorority sponsored a Career Fair for the 2009 Junior Debutantes.

Young women between the ages of 11 and 13 were exposed to several career choices during an open forum and exhibit.

The objective of the Career Fair is to expose youngsters to various professions in order to assist them in their decision making process regarding career choices.

They were given firsthand information regarding career options and the necessary educational preparation for each of the professions.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters representing the following fields: education, law enforcement music, legal, computer technology, dentistry and medical.

Dr. Clemontine Washington, president of Gamma Sigma Omega and Gwendolyn Johnson, Program Chairperson, were both pleased with the outcome of the event.

The Career Fair Committee included Ethel Hunter, Coordinator and Brenda Jenkins, Eleanor Ginn, Queen Barnes and Sedalia Singleton.

The 2009 Junior Debutantes are: Rhonda Bryant, Jana Carpenter, Iyana Crawford, Denasia DeVore, Jayla Diggs, Raymoni Hall, Ariel Jones, Chelsea Ruth and Nekiria West.
