The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) has named the Savannah Arts Academy senior as the Regional Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) Student and his instructor Mr. Bradley Wallace as Regional STAR Teacher.

The two will now compete for the State STAR Student & Teacher Awards in Atlanta.

Among his many honors, Andrew is a National Merit Scholarship Program finalist and one of 20 high school males in Georgia invited to apply for the Presidential Scholars Program.

Andrew is also involved in numerous school activities including the math and soccer teams and the Silver Winds Ensemble.

When he's not in the classroom, band room or on the athletic field, you may find him brightening the lives of patients at Hospice of Savannah, where he spends time as a volunteer.

Mr. Bradley Wallace is the English Department Chair at Savannah Arts Academy and teaches Advanced Placement Language and Composition courses.

He is a WTOC Top Teacher award recipient and has been at SAA since 2003.

Each year the PAGE STAR program selects a top academic senior from participating high schools based on outstanding Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores and class standing. STAR Students are also asked to name their STAR Teacher to share in the recognition and accompany them to system wide and state competitions.
