Geechee Kunda Traveling Exhibit at SSU

Geechee Kunda's Traveling Exhibit "Gola Kissi" Gullah Geechee: Africa in America will open on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 5:30 pm at the

State of Georgia's only HBCU in the Gullah Geechee Corridor, Savannah State University. The exhibit shall run until March 1, 2009. The exhibit is located in Adams Hall on the SSU campus.

On Thursday evening there will be presentations made by some of the Geechee Kunda Family (experts on various aspects of Gullah Geechee Culture) - the Darien Shouters, Bri' Monday (Greg Grant), Bri' Jim Bacote, Sista Luckey (Lucera Luckey).

Special reservations are available for groups of students from schools and community centers.
