On January 28, 2009, The Savannah Tribune will publish a Special Edition on the inaugural events. This edition will feature an indepth look at the swearing in of President Barack Obama.

Barack Obama stands next to his wife Michelle as he is sworn in as the 44th president of the United States. Obama acknowledged in his inaugural address that the nation is in crisis, but said America remains the most powerful nation on Earth. "Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America," the president said.
