YFA Selects Executive Director

Edward Chisolm After a seven month nationwide search, the Chatham-Savannah Youth Futures Authority (YFA) has selected Edward Chisolm as Executive Director effective Monday, December 15, 2008.

For the past eight years, Chisolm, a native of Hardeeville, South Carolina, served as Executive Director of the Neighborhood Improvement Association. Before his appointment at NIA, Chisolm worked for YFA in various roles including, Youth Advocate and Consultant. He was a Casey Fellow for the Annie E. Casey Foundation Children and Family Fellowship and the Project Director for the Chatham County Health Department's Healthy Start program in the 1990s.

Chisolm will succeed Dr. Connie Cooper who served as Interim Executive Director for the past 14 months. Dr. Cooper will transition into the position of YFA Board Chair beginning January 1, 2009.
