Pastor C. MeGill Brown, officers and members of the Historic Second African Baptist Church, 123 Houston Street, Greene Square, announces its 206th Church Anniversary Celebration. Second African is the second oldest continuous congregation in North America and this celebration is a reflection of the grace and mercies of God.

The anniversary will begin on Sunday, December 14 at 5:00 pm with the Annual Holy Candlelight Communion. This year's Candlelight Service will feature Pastor Brown, the Music Ministry and the SAB Inspirational Voices.

The celebration will continue on Monday, December 15th through Thursday, December 18th at 7:30 pm with the week night services. Special guests includes: Monday, Pastor Larry J. Stells and the Central Baptist Church; Tuesday, Pastor Ronald B. Gregory and the First Evergreen Baptist Church; Wednesday, Pastor Oddie Luckett and the Clifton Baptist Church; and Thursday, Pastor Ricardo Manuel and the Second Ebenezer Baptist Church.

The Anniversary Banquet will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 6:00 pm at the Liberty City Community Center, 1401 Mills B. Lane. Tickets for this event are $15.00.

The Closing Celebration will take place on Sunday, December 21st, at 11:00 am during the Morning Worship Service. The special guest is Pastor Clarence Hampton and the First Stewardship Baptist Church Family of Atlanta, Georgia. Dinner will be served after the service.
