One Warm Coat
Old Savannah City Mission is teaming up with Burlington Coat Factory, ABC's "Good Morning America" and the non-profit organization "One Warm Coat" to get the word out about the "Second Annual Warm Coats and Warm Hearts" Drive in Savannah to help people in need. The official kick off is November 24th and through January 16th coats will be collected and distributed by the Mission to children and adults in Savannah, free of charge.
Anyone wishing to donate coats for men, women, or children can do so in the drop-off box located in the Burlington Coat Factory store at 14045 Abercorn Street. Coats should be in good condition, with working fasteners, and no rips or stains. Donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes. Coats will be distributed to the needy by Old Savannah City Mission in Savannah and the surrounding area.
In 2007, "Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Drive," facilitated by a non-profit organization called "One Warm Coat," resulted in the collection of more than 175,000 coats for people in need across the country. The organization's mission is to ensure that anyone who needs a coat has one. For more information about One Warm Coat, visit: www.onewarmcoat.org
