Bert Tenenbaum The 2008 UNCF Corporate Kick-off Breakfast was held Tuesday, November 18, at the First City Club. The event was also a part of the official kick-off of Savannah's 100 Celebrity Men Who Cook. Bert Tenenbaum, 2008 Corporate Chairman, thanked the corporate and professional community and officially announced this year's event. Tenenbaum offered a strong challenge to the corporate community to come on board and support this year's campaign.

Among the businessmen present were event chairman, Dr. Thomas B. Lockamy, School Superintendent, County Commission Chairman Pete Liakakis, WTOC-TV General Manager - Bill Cathcart, former Corporate Chairman - Dicky Mopper, City Manager - Michael Brown, Chamber of Commerce President - Bill Hubbard, and several local business representatives, including Cathy Hill, Roy L. Jackson, Joe Marianelli, and Jody McIntyre. Savannah State University Bill Gates Millennium Scholars, DeAnna Bryant, Gordon Cone, and Erick Moton, and Savannah College of Art and Design student - Areya Simmons listened attentively as Keynote speaker, Sonny Dixon (WTOC-TV Anchor) shared his unique life story and emphasized the importance of getting involved with educating our youth. Also present were Maurice Jenkins - Regional Vice- President and members of the sponsoring sororities.
