Attorney Sara Doyle Attorney Sara Doyle Attorney Sara Doyle is in a run-off with Attorney Mike Sheffield of Lawrenceville to fill a vacant seat on the 12-member Georgia Court of Appeals. The vacancy was created by the retirement of Judge John H. Ruffin, Jr. The court, which is one step below the Georgia Supreme Court, handles both criminal and civil appeals. We believe that Attorney Sara Doyle is the best choice for this position, and urge our readers to vote to elect her to this important judicial post.

Attorney Doyle is a graduate of the University of Florida and Georgia's Mercer University School of Law. She is a partner with the law firm of Holland & Knight with a practice that has focused on civil litigation and education law.

During her 15 years of legal experience, Attorney Doyle has handled from trial through the appellate process a wide range of litigation involving contracts, torts, employment, insurance, real estate, tax, trusts and estates, workers compensation and liability disputes for individuals and a wide variety of businesses. As a member of Holland & Knight's Education Team, she has over 14 years of education experience representing private educational institutions in all areas, including academic, student, resident, faculty and employee affairs. Attorney Doyle has litigated in Federal and State courts both in and outside of Georgia giving her a comprehensive understanding of the legal process.

She has spoken on issues of student discipline and privacy at Georgia School of Law seminars, the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, and the Education Law Association's annual seminar.

Throughout her educational and professional career, Attorney Doyle has distinguished herself as a scholar who will serve us well of the Georgia Court of Appeals. Her list of professional honors and awards include the Mercer University Law Review and being listed as one of Georgia's top fifty female lawyers in 2006. Georgia Trend Magazine also listed her among Georgia's Legal Elite. Attorney Doyle has an equally impressive background of community involvement that includes being a Hands On Atlanta Day Team Leader; American Cancer Society Neighborhood Fundraiser Leader; and a Co-Chair of the United Way Committee at Holland & Knight.
