Kings Bay Area Chapter of Blacks in Government to Host "Meet and Greet" in Brunswick

The Kings Bay Area Chapter of Blacks in Government (BIG) will host a Chapter "Meet and Greet" in Brunswick on Saturday, November 08, 2008, beginning at 1 p.m. The "Meet and Greet" will be held in the board room of the YWCA of Brunswick, 144 Scranton Connector, and it is free and open to the public. Attendees will meet Chapter representatives, learn more about BIG, it's goals, purposes, and programs. Former members will have an opportunity to get reacquainted with BIG and the Chapter. Membership applications will be available. Annual membership dues are: Regular - $35, Associate - $25, and Chapter dues - $15. Life membership is $300.

Founded in 1975, BIG functions as an employee support group, an advocacy group, and its primary mission is to promote, provide, and enhance education and training opportunities in government.
