Newton Named one of Georgia's High Performance Principals
Mrs. Julie E. Newton Julie E. Newton, was named among 112 High Performance Principals that have overseen dramatic improvements in student achievement in Georgia's public schools.
Newton was named among the High Performance Principals based on her service to Bartow Elementary School during the school years of 2003-2004 through 2006-2007.
Newton has earned many honors through her career as an educator. Some honors include: Toombs County Teacher of the Year; Georgia Association of Educators Outstanding Leadership Award; Recognition for Improved Leadership for the United Teacher's Profession; and Recognition by the Institute for Political and Legal Education and Georgia Southern University.
Mrs. Newton serves as a Sunday School Teacher and Missionary at Tremont Temple Baptist Church.
