Savannah Branch NAACP Encourages Voter Participation

2008-09-24 / Social & Community News

The Savannah Branch NAACP would like to encourage ALL registered voters in Chatham County to head to the polls and become permanently ETCHED in U.S. History simply by VOTING in the PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION on November 4, 2008. If you are not a registered voter, you have until OCTOBER 6, 2008 to register if you want to vote in this General Election. The NAACP would also like to share a few pertinent facts:

• Did you know that your name may have been purged (REMOVED) from the voter rolls if you did not vote in the last two General Elections? This means you cannot vote unless you RE-REGISTER BY OCTOBER 6, 2008.

• Finally, did you know that a Convicted Felon, in the state of Georgia, IS ELIGIBLE TO REGISTER TO VOTE, if he/she has completed the sentence and is no longer on parole or probation?

REMEMBER, GET OUT AND VOTE

NOVEMBER 4TH!
