SSU will play their first road game on Nov. 22 to plat at Texas El Paso."Its been a challenge, scheduling wise, because we are not in a conference," said Baker. "From top to bottom its going to be tough with a roster of eight newcomers and it will be challenging for the team. But for the fans, I think we have done a pretty good job of having recognizable teams on the schedule," he added.
The Lady Tigers will play home and home games with Charles Southern, Florida A&M, Bethune- Cookman, New Jersey Tech, Morris, Longwood and North Carolina Central.
Key road games include visits to Florida, Louisiana- Lafayette, Texas Tech, Georgia and Mississippi State.
Savannah State will participate in the Cincinnati Holiday Tournament Nov. 28-30 and close out the season by participating in the Independent Colleges and Universities Tournament in Orem, Utah March 5-7.
Baker will be looking to improve on last year's 14-15 record. "We hope to get our first winning season. It's one of the toughest schedules in the nation."
