Charles Ellis PTA has launch a series of free afternoon concerts called "Ellis Afternoon Musicales" in the school's multi-purpose room at 220 E 49th Street, between Habersham and Reynolds streets.

Future musicales include harpsichordist Anne Acker on Tuesday, September 23, "What Is Jazz" featuring Jody Espina and friends on Tuesday, October 14 and the Shuman Middle School Chorus on Tuesday, October 28. The program will continue into November with guest artists yet to be announced.

Held at 3:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the months of September through November, the Musicales are designed to raise musical knowledge.

The concerts are free and open to the public and families are welcome.
