CCYD PRESENTS: Regular Meeting, looking for members to join, accepting nominations for executive board positions.

Alderman Van R. Johnson, II Alderman Van R. Johnson, II The Chatham County Young Democrats is looking for members to join and is also seeking interested persons to selfnominated executive board positions. The positions open include President, V.P. of Community Outreach, Secretary, and Treasurer.

The regular meeting will be held on Thursday, September 11, at the Democratic Party Headquarters, 109 West Victory Drive, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

The featured guest speaker is Alderman Van Johnson, along with members of the Chatham County Youth commission. The hot button issue up for discussion in Chatham County is: Is it time for the City of Savannah to ban below-the-rear baggy pants?

The Chatham County Young Democrats is the county's official youth arm of the Chatham County Democratic Committee (CCDC). Members of the organization strive to make a positive difference in the community by working within the political process and upholding the principles of the Democratic Party. Membership base reflects the broad diversity of youth in Chatham County including college students and young professionals.

The strategic vision of the Chatham County Young Democrats is using community outreach to get 30,000 additional young people throughout Georgia to vote Democratic by 2010.
