SSU Reveals New Logo

2008-09-10 / Social & Community News

On Monday, August 11, President Earl G. Yarbrough Sr., Ph.D., officially revealed the new logo for Savannah State University (SSU) for the public during the Grand Re- Opening Ceremony held for Hill Hall.

The new logo is based on the front façade of Walter Barnard Hill Hall. The oldest remaining building on Savannah State's campus, Hill Hall was built by faculty and students in 1901. The building historically was the site for the bookstore, student center, male dormitory, and library. It will now house the university's Enrollment Management center, which includes the offices of admissions and financial aid, along with administrative offices for the president. Hill Hall is a symbol of endurance on the SSU campus.
