Georgia to Host 37th Annual Conference of EANGUS

The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS), representing more than 414,000 National Guard enlisted Soldiers and Airmen, their families and retirees will hold it 37th Annual Conference on August 18-21, 2008 at the Savannah Trade and International Center in Savannah, GA. More than 1500 National Guard members and families are expected to attend the EANGUS conference on Georgia historic coast.

The conference will discuss a wide variety of topics and identify specific legislative issues important to Association members that will be brought before Congress during the 2009 Congressional year.

Adjutants general from 54 states and territories and National Guard Bureau leaders are expected to be in attendance. Awards will be presented to the Outstanding National Guard Soldiers and Airmen of the Year as well as to civilian employers who have shown outstanding support to employees in the National Guard.

EANGUS is organized to pursue mutual goals of the National Guard and the national defense. Through the "We Care for America Foundation" program, members have donated more than $300,000 in grants to Guard members and their families since Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, EANGUS has supported the families of more than 300,000 Guardsmen deployed for the Global War on Terrorism.
