The Savannah Sankofa Male Chorale "Sponsor-A-Youth" Campaign
The Savannah Sankofa Male Chorale is a new singing group to our city. The main focus of the chorale is to identify musically talented at-risk males between the ages of 13-18. The organization's commitment is to provide character education which instills Christian and moral values; stresses discipline and hard work; helps participants in making good choices; develops good interpersonal skills and self-esteem; and empowers young men to be productive citizens in our society, "using music as the motivator."
The talented young men, who were recently featured by WTOC as Top Teens of the Week", have been asked to perform on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show in Nashville, Tennessee in September. The organization is seeking support from all our friends in the community! Please support us by sponsoring a young man to Nashville where they will be featured as "New Talent" on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show. The taping for the young men will be September 12-14, 2008.
