Kappa's Scholarship Fund at SSU Reaches $20,000
      The Mark C. Clayton- Kappa Alpha Psi Endowed Scholarship at SSU reached its projected goal of $20,000 on July 30, 2008 when Dr. Earl G. Yargrough, president of SSU, accepted a check from representatives of the Savannah alumni chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity for $2,000.

Exhibition Explores Uneasy Relationship Between Man and Nature
      Noted painter and printmaker Curtis Bartone will be unveiling a collection of new and recent works at his exhibition entitled, "Succession," on display at the City of Savannah's Gallery S.P.A.C.E.       Savannah State University will welcome freshmen and transfer students to the 2008-09 academic year during New Student Orientation Aug. 12- 17. To date, the Office of Admissions staff has received 4,641 applications from first-time and transfer students, an increase of almost 10% over this time in 2007.
