The Olympic flame goes out until 2022. The closing ceremony for the Winter Olympics was held Sunday night. This years Olympic was filled with miracles and stories for years to come.

One of those miracles was the U.S. Women hockey team. They won Gold defending Canada in a 3-2 heart racing shoot out. This was the first time that the Women’s U.S. hockey team won a gold medal in 20 years

U.S. men’s curling team also had its own miracle. They won gold in curling, America’s first gold in the sport.

The U.S. was not the only county making history. Norway won the most medals in the Winter Olympics with 38. They won 13 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze. While, Germany won 37 total medals. The United States ended the Olympics 23 medals, nine gold medals eight Sliver, and six Bronze.

South Korea also set history wining gold for the first time in speed skating.

The next Winter Olympics will not be until 2022. It will be hosted by China.
