Winnifred Bryant Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biology at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, has published a book entitled, Human Sexual Biology. The textbook, which is distributed by Great River Publishing will be implemented in Dr. Bryant’s course of the same name, beginning in Fall semester 2017. The textbook was written as a companion to the material Dr. Bryant covers in her course (general biological concepts, reproductive structure and function, and fertility and sexual health) and the specific audience (non-science majors). The Human Sexual Biology course enrolls up to 160-250 students per academic year.
Dr. Bryant is the daughter of Ruth and Willie Bryant and is a 1989 graduate of Beach High School. She earned her bachelor of science degree in Biology in 1993 from Shorter College. She obtained both her master of science in and doctorate in Zoology (emphasis in endocrinology) from Miami University (OH) in 1998 and 2000, respectively. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, she joined the Biology Department at UW-Eau Claire in 2004. Dr. Bryant teaches various courses in biology and physiology and performs research in reproductive endocrinology.
