Williams, Campbell Receive Ursuline B. Law Human Services Scholarship


On February 12, 2010, the Cuyler Community Improvement Association, Inc. (C.C.I.A.) awarded the annual the Ursuline B. Law Human Services Scholarship.

The purpose of the scholarship is to maintain the professionalism and the pursuit of professional careers for which the community is known.

This is the fourth year the scholarship has been awarded. This year’s recipients were Ms. Alicia Williams, a Savannah State University senior. Her major is biology with a career goal as a pharmacist.

The second recipient is Ms. Farrah Campbell. Ms. Campbell is a Savannah State University senior. Her major is accounting. Her career goal is to work in the hospital systems as a financial advisor.

Each candidate received $ 1, 000.00 to assist them in meeting their financial needs. Each candidate met the criteria to receive the award.

They are both residents of the Cuyler- Brownsville neighborhood.

They have completed at least one semester of post high school education and hold a 3.0 or above grade point average.

The C.C.I.A. is a 5012c.3 on profit organization dedicated to the health, well-being, and financial productivity of the residents of Cuyler community. Announcements for application to the annual scholarship will be advertised in November 2010.
