Wells Park Workshops Held

The City of Savannah and Savannah Development and Renewal (SDRA) has put together a task force to work with the residents and business owners to develop a new vision for the area sourrounding Wells Park and the community surrounding 37th to 40th Street between MLKing, Jr. Blvd and Montgomery St. Workshops were held last Monday and Tuesday, and the next workshop meeting is scheduled for Saturday, November 22 from 11am to 2pm at St. Luke Baptist Church. Located at 418 West 38th St. Neighborhoods are asked to come in and voice their opinions.

SDRA Executive Director, Kevin Klinkenberg and neighborhood leaders provided the goals of these sessions at a Press Conference held last Friday.

Last Saturday, Girl Scout Troop 30266 Marshview Service Unit passed out information to the neighborhoods surrounding Wells Park concerning the workshops planned to get the neighbors input on the changes for Wells Park.
