United Way HandsOn Savannah Hosts Community Service Projects To Honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.


 
 

United Way HandsOn Savannah honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s memory by hosting community service projects at the America’s Second Harvest Food Bank of Coastal Georgia and Kicklighter Academy, last Saturday, January 17 and Monday, January 19, 2015. By partnering with Target Corporation, Georgia Power Company and other civic organizations, volunteers packed mobile food pantry boxes, cleaned and pressure washed the building, completed light landscaping and grounds keeping, mulched the playground, reorganized the pre-K room, organized the thrift shop and many other small tasks.
