Holidays are about coming together with friends and family, sharing the joy of the season at home. For the homeless and hungry of Savannah, Union Mission is their holiday home. On Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2015, with the generous support of Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. and Sodexo, Union Mission will host a holiday feast to share a little holiday cheer to those who might otherwise have none.
“We provide a hot meal and a chance to stock up on personal items such as socks, blankets, and coats. But sharing the holiday with those in need also provides hope,” said Union Mission’s Executive Director, Steven J. Allison. “It lets them know that life-changing help is here and waiting for them when they need it most.”
Union Mission will serve approximately 300 meals on Christmas Day thanks to the work of more than 60 volunteers and the support of Gulfstream and Sodexo.
The Christmas Day meal will be served at Union Mission’s Grace House, located on 120 Fahm Street.
The meal will be provided at no cost and will be served between 12:00pm and 2:00 pm. Everyone is welcome.
