Step Up Savannah, Inc. 2016 Annual Meeting &Breakfast

 
 

Join Step Up and local business, neighborhood and community leaders to consider and discuss the Purpose Built model for transforming neighborhoods. on Friday, October 14, 2016 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Savannah Technical Collelge Eckburg Auditorium. Help us celebrate the winners of our Creating Opportunity Awards.

The speaker will be Carol Naughton, a founding staff member of Purpose Built Communities,. She has been a leader in community revitalization for more than two decades. She is responsible for leading the teams that support revitalizations in 14 cities, as well as the teams vetting opportunities in 35 additional cities. Previously, Naughton served as executive director of the East Lake Foundation, the organization that developed the holistic model of community revitalization that Purpose Built is successfully replicating around the country. Naughton also served as general counsel and deputy executive director for Legal and Nonprofit Affairs for the Atlanta Housing Authority.

Purpose Built Communities works with local leaders to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty by focusing on education, quality housing, and community wellness in a defined geographic area.

This community event is open to all at no charge but reservations are required.
