The Shawn Quinn era of Savannah State football will begin on March 27 when the Tigers hit the field for spring football practice.
Spring drills will begin on March 27 and will culminate on April 27 with the annual Orange and Blue Spring Game at 1:00 p.m.
The Tigers, who will practice on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:40 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., will have 15 practices which includes three scrimmages on April 12th, 19th and 27th.
Quinn, who was the Savannah State defensive coordinator/linebacker coach during the 2018 season, was promoted to interim head football coach in December 2018 and named the 26th head coach in the history of the program in March 2019.
Savannah State posted a 2-8 record last season while competing in the Football Championship Series but will be making the transition to Division II at the end of the 2018-19 academic year. SSU will compete as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference starting with the 2019 season.
