Tigers Swept By NCCU

The Savannah State men’s and women’s basketball teams traveled to Durham, North Carolina on February 23 and were swept by North Carolina Central.

NCCU won the women’s game 77-65. Savannah State (6-16, 4-9 MEAC), who has lost three in a row, was led by Myasia Jones who scored 11 points and Alexxus Sowell who had 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Eagles completed the sweep with a 78-69 victory in the men’s game. Jaquan Dotson had 20 points and seven rebounds for SSU (10-17, 7-6 MEAC) while Zach Sellers and Tyrell Harper added 11 points each and Jahlin Smith chipped in 10.
