The Sister’s Network Survivors Group: Reaching Out to the Savannah Community

The Sisters Network Survivors Group, Inc. of Savannah Georgia welcomes all cancer survivors. Sisters Network Chapter is an affiliate of the National African American Breast Cancer survivorship organization, Sisters Network, (SNI), located in Houston Texas. The primary objective of Sister Network is to provide a strong support base and as an emotional safe haven for all breast cancer survivors to express their fears, frustrations and concerns. The second objective is to assist each member in taking responsibility for their health so they can reclaim a sense of control in their lives. The organization also works to educate and heighten Savannah’s African American community’s awareness about breast cancer through community outreach projects. Sisters Network holds regular meetings every third Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Health. Come to the back of the hospital.

You may reach the organization’s local president, Annie Quarterman at 961-5430 or 224-2561.
