The Savannah Community Pays Tribute To Nelson Mandela

The Savannah Branch of the NAACP and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Observance Day Association, Inc. celebrated the extraordinary life and legacy of political activist Nelson Mandela December 13th, 2013 in front of the Savannah Branch NNACP Office. Local city officials and community leaders came out to pay homage and celebrate the life of this inspirational leader.

The Civil Rights community in Savannah, the United States and around the world is forever indebted to Nelson Mandela for his dedication, perseverance, forgiveness and inspiration. The Savannah community stands with the people of South Africa and with the international community in mourning the loss of Nelson Mandela. The world is diminished by his death.
